Working with Artist Gordon Huether, a small team and I submitted a bid for a public art installation for the Fort Wayne International Airport in Indiana. I then took the initial concpet from Huether and developed a CAD model for rendering and fabrication.
We created a presentation for the bid that told the story behind the design and how it related to Indiana. We also showed renderings of the artwork on the client's site and schematics that showcased how the artwork would be fabricated and installed.
After winning the job bid, we went into design development, where we spent more time on the graphic panels of the artwork. We worked with another artist to find the best composition that symbolized what the client was looking for. I then took this final design and worked with the fabricator to create cut files for each component.
