I worked with a partner to redesign and prototype consumer electronics to have a similar design language. I worked on a Vondior Fm/Am portable radio.

The radio redesign combines modern minimalism and cassette futurism, creating a feeling of contemporary nostalgia. Taking primary forms used in the late 20th century and applying modern soft styles gives off moods of familiarity while maintaining a sense of the future.

3D printing was used to build the prototype of the redesign. Further iterations include redesigning the radio's interior to better support the electronic components. With this, the connections between the electronics and the UI elements can be improved.
